The following are VHF and
SSB radio nets, and internet weather site information that cruisers,
surfers and others use.
PANAMA AREA:
Single side band nets for our area:

For the "Southwest Caribbean" net: SSB
on 6209 USB at 0815 EST (Panama time) (alternate frequencies 6212 & 6516)

For the "Panama Connection" net: SSB on 8107 at
0730 EST (Panama time) (alternate frequency 8167)
BOCAS DEL TORO AREA:
VHF Radio: There's a local radio net
Monday - Friday at 8:00 a.m.
on VHF channel 68. The format includes weather, community
events and announcements, buy/sell/trade and general questions/answers
about the area and boat-related stuff.
